In a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Steelers strengthened their defense by acquiring inside linebacker Joe Schobert. The Jaguars will receive the sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft from the Steelers in return.

Schobert, who is starting his sixth NFL season, has made 535 tackles, 326 solo stops, 26 quarterback hits, 21 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks, 24 pass defenses, and 9 interceptions.
After spending his first four NFL seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Schobert spent the 2020 campaign with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
