Jodie Foster’s parents are Lucius Fisher Foster III and Evelyn Ella Almond. Her father was a U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel who later turned into a real estate broker.

Before Jodie Foster was born, her father left her mother. Jodie Foster’s mother was a film producer. Jodie Foster is best known for her iconic roles in The Accused (1988), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), and Inside Man (2006) among others.

In 2013, Foster received the honorary Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 70th Golden Globe Awards. In 2015, Jodie Foster received the Laura Ziskin Lifetime Achievement Award at the Athena Film Festival.

Some of Jodie Foster’s early films include Tom Sawyer (1973), Bugsy Malone (1976), The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976), Carny (1980), and Foxes (1980). Foster founded her own production company, Egg Pictures, in 1992.

Jodie Foster made her directorial film debut with Little Man Tate (1991). She has since directed films such as Home for the Holidays (1995), The Beaver (2011), and Money Monster (2016).
