Joanna Jędrzejczyk is a former professional mixed martial artist and Muay Thai kickboxer from Poland. She has been hailed as the greatest female strawweight mixed martial artist of all time, especially by Daniel Cormier, who gave her credit for “putting the weight class on the map.”

Jędrzejczyk began learning Muay Thai at the age of 16 while getting into fitness, which eventually lead her to participate in national and European championships.
On May 19, 2012, Jędrzejczyk competed in her first mixed martial arts (MMA) match against Sylwia Juskiewicz, winning by unanimous decision.
Phil Daru and Jose Rojas are her strength and conditioning coaches. After practicing in the gi, Jędrzejczyk received a promotion to blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2021.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is currently single and has not been in a relationship for over three years now. She was the fiancée of former Polish football player Przemysław Buta.
In a 2019 interview, she cited “some difficulties” in her personal life for “almost two years,” confirming that she is no longer engaged to Buta.
