In 2020, he recorded the single “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You!” for his daughter, with his father Stephen producing once again, explaining in a statement: “The inspiration for this song was primarily a message to my daughter letting her know that she’ll be well-protected because that’s my job as her father.”
According to multiple reports, Jo Mersa Marley died on December 27, 2022, at the age of 31. Although the cause of death has not been officially confirmed or made public, unconfirmed reports indicate that he died as a result of an asthma attack.
Jo Mersa Marley’s most recent album was Eternal, which was released in 2021. Jo collaborated with some of his musician family members on the song “Blessings” on October 11, 2022, just over two months before his death.
