Jim Tomsula Parents: Meet Jim Tomsula Sr., Betty Jo Tomsula

Jim Tomsula, one of the most well-known and wealthy Football Coaches, was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania, in the United States, on April 14, 1968. In 1989, Tomsula started his coaching career at Catawba College as a strength and conditioning coach.

He returned to Catawba College where he was a part of the coaching staff until 2005 after working as an assistant coach at Charleston Southern under Defensive Coordinator Fred Hamilton from 1992 to 1995. During that time, he helped the Catawba Indians win four South Atlantic Conference championships.

A notable event in 2015 was Tomsula’s induction into the Catawba College Sports Hall of Fame. For a while, Tomsula worked as an assistant for NFL Europe. He coached the defensive line for the Scottish Claymores from 1999 to 2003 and the London Monarchs in 1998.

Jim Tomsula was born to Betty Jo Tomsula and Jim Tomsula Sr. in the Calhoun Manor ranch house in Homestead, Pennsylvania. He has a sister named Jill Conway and an unidentified brother.
Jim Tomsula completed his education at Munhall Steel Valley in Pennsylvania. He enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University, where he played football up until the 1986 year.
