Former Major League Baseball pitcher, Jim Poole, has tragically passed away at the age of 57 due to complications from ALS in Atlanta, as confirmed by his alma mater, Georgia Tech. His death occurred on Friday, October, 6, 2023.

Launching his MLB journey with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1990, Poole made his mark with teams such as the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and San Francisco Giants. His talent also graced the Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, and Montreal Expos. Poole concluded his impressive baseball career after the 2000 season.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Kim, three children, and two doting grandchildren, as mentioned by Georgia Tech.
