The former couple welcomed their daughter Sadie in 2013. Then in 2015, Drake-Lee gave birth to their son Maceo.
Jesse Williams filed for divorce 18 months after the couple’s child, Maceo, was born. They began an ongoing struggle for custody of their children.
The former couple was ordered by a judge in April 2021 to attend a “high conflict parents” programme as they navigate their co-parenting relationship.
Williams and Drake-Lee finalised their child custody battle over a year later, in March 2022, stating that they will continue to share legal custody of their two children.

Since Williams’ divorce from Drake-Lee in 2017, the couple has worked hard to keep the kids out of the spotlight during their custody battle. While Williams doesn’t typically talk about the little girl, he revealed that she sees him as an embarrassment.
“My daughter likes to pretend I’m a huge embarrassment,” Williams told Us Weekly in August 2023. “But that’s her job, I think, to make daddy a dork.”
“But I play into that. It’s pretty fun to try to embarrass them.” His son Maceo is focused on school in Los Angeles, but he visits him in New York City on occasion.
