UK fil producer, Jess Search has been reported dead. According to her family, she died after battling with brain tumor for years. She was 54 years old. Her death occurred on Monday, July 31, 2023.

She was a con-founder of the UK based Doc Society – a non-profit organization that started in 2005. The company produces and funds documentaries form around the world.

Search stepped down from her duties after she was diagnosed with the tumor.
“Today, I am sharing that I’m currently under the care of a neurosurgeon because like 300,000 others every year around the world, I’ve been diagnosed with brain tumor. I’m stepping back from Doc Society – after 18 years of nonstop creative collaboration, dedicated craft, joyous partying, and fierce camaraderie,” she wrote.
She was known for contributing to several movies and documentaries. Some of them include While We Watched, Dirty Wars, Welcome to Chechnya, Risk, The Yes Men Fix the World, The End of The Line, F… This Job, Unknown White Male, and more.
