Roderick James “Jess” McMahon Sr. was a Manhattan-born professional wrestling and boxing promoter. Jess was well-known as a patriarch of the McMahon family and a pioneer in the promotion of wrestling in 1915.

Jess McMahon passed on in 1954 from a cerebral hemorrhage at a hospital in Pennsylvania. He was seventy-two years old when he passed on.
