Gordon Brown received his education at the University of Brighton. Prior to taking up weightlifting, he competed in judo and gymnastics. She won two national titles in acrobatic gymnastics. She won the senior national weightlifting championship in 2021 in her weight division, and she placed 12th in the 59kg division at the World Championships.

She was chosen to compete in the women’s 59 kg division at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where she took home the silver medal. Gordon-Brown finished in second place with a backflip at Birmingham’s NEC Arena after lifting 86 kg in the snatch and 111 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 197 kg.
