Jerome Powell is a well-known attorney, investment banker and the chair of the Federal Reserve.

Born on February 4, 1953, in Washington DC, Powell bagged a degree in politics from Princeton University, and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
Powell worked as an investment banker in several financial institutions such as The Carlyle Group, and Severn Capital Partners, a private investment firm which he founded in 2005.
He also worked under President George H. W. Bush, and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors until he was promoted as chairman by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
