After a fight with cancer, Jerome M. Hauer has passed away. Hauer had built a solid career for himself before he passed away, serving as the CEO of The Hauer Group LLC, a consultancy business.
It was stated that he had served in a number of emergency management-related government roles in the states of New York and Indiana.

From 1989 until 1993, during Evan Bayh’s term as governor, Hauer served as the director of Indiana’s Department of Emergency Management. Hauer joined IBM in 1993 to oversee programs for fire safety, crisis management, and the response to hazardous materials. He was given the International Film and TV Critics of New York Bronze Prize in 1996 for his creation of relevant training DVDs.
