Jermaine Dupri Mauldin is the son of Tina Mauldin and Michael Mauldin, a Columbia Records executive.
Jermaine Dupri’s father Michael Mauldin is the CEO of Mauldin Brand AC/VC and the Chairman of the Black American Music Association, a non-profit 501(c)(6) trade organisation.
In addition, he is the Managing Director of 2475 AtVille Entertainment. Mauldin is owner of Air Control Music publishing and he is a live event producer and CEO of Scream Nation, a concert tour joint venture for the world famous “Scream Tour”.

Jermaine Dupri’s promising musical career began before the age of ten. His father organised a Diana Ross concert in 1982, and to the delight of concertgoers, Dupri managed to get on stage and dance with Ross.
Mauldin assisted Jermaine Dupri his then 19-year-old son in establishing his record label So So Def Recordings in 1993, and he was instrumental in helping Dupri and the So So Def artists achieve international acclaim.
