Born on November 24, 1998, in Anchorage, Alaska, Jeremy Swayman was introduced to the world of hockey at a tender age by his father, Ken.
As an infant, Jeremy accompanied his father to college ice hockey games to watch the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves, igniting a passion for the sport that would define his future career.
Anne Boesenberg and Ken Swayman played pivotal roles in nurturing Jeremy’s early interest in hockey.
At just five years old, Jeremy took to the ice as a goaltender, a position he would grow to excel in. Throughout his youth in Anchorage, Jeremy honed his skills on the ice, eventually joining the team at South Anchorage High School.

However, Jeremy’s journey faced an unexpected turn when he was cut from the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League, despite his initial plans to play for the team.
Undeterred, with the support of family friends, Jeremy found his footing with the Pikes Peak Miners of the Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League.
During his time with the Miners, Jeremy showcased his remarkable talent, boasting an impressive .940 save percentage (SV%) and a 1.79 goals against average (GAA) in 18 games.
It was a testament to his dedication and determination, qualities instilled in him by his supportive family.
