Jensen Ackles is an American actor. Jensen Ackles was born on March 1 1978 in Dallas the son of Donna Joan and Alan Roger Ackles, an actor.

He grew up in Richardson and attended Lloyd V. Berkner High School. After graduating in 1996, he moved to Los Angeles to begin his acting career.

Jensen appeared on his first television show, “Wishbone,” in 1995, and then he guest-starred on “Sweet Valley High” (1996) and “Cybill” (1997).

Jensen Ackles appeared as Alec McDowell / X5-494 on the Fox science-fiction series “Dark Angel” from 2001 to 2002, and as C.J. Braxton on The WB’s “Dawson’s Creek” from 2002 to 2003.

Ackles starred as Jason Teague on the “Superman” prequel series “Smallville” from 2004 to 2005, and his first feature film was 2005’s “Devour.”

Ackles was cast as Soldier Boy on the Amazon Prime Video series “The Boys” in the summer of 2020, and he joined the cast of the Western film “Rust” in October 2021.

Halyna Hutchins, the film’s cinematographer, died on October 21, 2021, after being accidentally shot with a prop gun that contained a live round of ammunition.
