Jennifer Westfeldt Parents: Meet Patrick McLoskey Westfeldt, Jr., Constance Meyers

Jennifer Westfeldt is an American actress, writer, and producer. She is the daughter of Patrick McLoskey Westfeldt, Jr. and Constance Meyers.

Her mother Constance Meyers is a therapist and her father Patrick McLoskey Westfeldt, Jr is an electrical engineer.  Michael Perelson, her stepfather, is also a therapist.

Amy Westfeldt, her older sister, is a journalist. Westfeldt grew up in Guilford, Connecticut, and graduated from Guilford High School. She then went to Yale University and earned a B.A. in Theatre Studies.

She performed in numerous plays and musicals at Yale and sang in the acapella group Redhot & Blue. Her family is Swedish nobility, with the surname Wästfelt.

She made her breakthrough with the independent film “Kissing Jessica Stein” (2001), which she co-wrote and starred in. The film received critical acclaim and showcased Westfeldt’s talent as both an actress and a writer. She received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay for her work on the film.

In addition to her acting career, Jennifer Westfeldt has appeared in various television shows, including guest roles in popular series such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place.” She has also worked in theater, both on and off Broadway.
