Jennifer Nettles is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on September 12, 1974, in Douglas, Georgia, United States to Beamon Nettles and Carla Temple.

Jennifer Nettles’ father, Johnnie “Beamon” Nettles died on May 14, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Ashburn, Georgia.
She shared his death in a post on her official Instagram account. “I’m often private about certain sacred pieces of my life and I share them as, and if, I am ready,” Nettles wrote in the caption accompanying a video.
“My daddy, Beamon Nettles, died last month on May 14th. He was a precious, quiet soul who made his way gently in the world. And it is so strange and unreal that he is not here.”

According to an obituary published by Douglas Now, a local newspaper in Nettles’ hometown of Douglas, Georgia, and shared by Wide Open Country, he was 69 years old.

Nettles gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the country music duo Sugarland, formed in 2002, alongside Kristian Bush. Sugarland became one of the most successful country music acts, earning numerous awards and producing hits like “Stay,” “All I Want to Do,” and “Stuck Like Glue.”
