Jennifer Beattie is a Scottish professional footballer who now plays for Arsenal in the FA Women’s Super League and was previously a member of the Scotland national squad. Beattie is a tall, powerful right-footer. She is a skilled goal scorer despite being primarily a defender or midfielder. She is the daughter of John Beattie, a former Scottish and British Lions rugby union player.

As a 15-year-old, Beattie started her senior career with Queen’s Park FC Ladies in the Scottish Women’s Premier League. In November 2007, she helped Queen’s Park reach the final of the Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup, when they were defeated 4-0 by a Hibernian Ladies team that included Beattie’s future Arsenal teammate Kim Little.

Beattie is the daughter of John Beattie, a former Scotland and British Lions rugby union player, and the sister of Johnnie Beattie, a former Scottish rugby union international. She attended Jordanhill School in Glasgow before enrolling at Hertfordshire University after signing with Arsenal.
In the 2023 New Year Honours, Beattie was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to association football and philanthropy.
