American retired child actor, Jeff Cohen, even though killed his child role as Chunk phenomenally, did not like being teased due to his weight. Therefore, he joined his high school team to lose weight. He shared that after losing weight, he did not get any roles again in the movie industry; producers and filmmakers stopped calling him.

According to him, Donner helped him gravely secure jobs and internships at the business side of movies while he was still in law school.

“I grew up loving The Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers, but suddenly I had a new crop of heroes,” he once shared.

He attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He reportedly asked director Richard Donner for a recommendation for his college admissions applications where he explained in detail the struggles he had gone through as a child. Donne decided to sponsor his college education. He continued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law.
