Davidov’s illustrious career in law enforcement was marked by unwavering courage and dedication.
Beginning as an officer with the Israel Border Police, Davidov’s journey through the ranks was nothing short of remarkable.
He served as the head of the police station in Ramat Negev and as an Intelligence Officer in Be’er Sheva. In 2019, he assumed command of the Central Unit of Lakhish, where he confronted some of Israel’s most notorious organized crime syndicates, including mafia organizations from Russia, Georgia, and the Caucasus, as well as local Israeli crime bosses.

His relentless pursuit of justice resulted in dozens of indictments against high-profile felons and their removal from the region, earning him the moniker “the terror of organized crime in Israel.”
In recognition of his exceptional leadership, the Central Unit received a citation of excellence in 2021. In December 2022, Davidov took on the role of chief of police in Rahat, a significant position in the Bedouin community.
Tragically, Davidov, along with three of his officers, lost their lives in a firefight with Palestinian militants near Ofakim during the Gaza-Israel conflict.
At the time of his passing, he was designated to lead the founding of a new Central Unit for the entire South District, a testament to his commitment to safeguarding the community.
Chief Superintendent Jayar Davidov’s legacy as a fearless protector of justice will forever be etched in the annals of Israel’s law enforcement history
