Jay Weiss is a real estate developer and a former musician. Jay was once also the lead guitarist of a rock band, The Suits. In December 1996 Weiss and his rock n roll-blues band, the Suit released their first CD, Ties That Bind.

He is known as the ex-husband f Kathleen Turner. Jay’s previous wife, Kathleen is an actress. Some of her known works include Body Heat, The Man with Two Brains, Crime of Passion, Romancing the Stone and many others.

Jay and Kathleen tied the knot in 1984 and they had one daughter together. Turner and Jay divorced in December 2007, but Turner said Jay is still her best friend.
In an interview, Kathleen revealed that the reason behind their divorce was because of her guilt in that among them, she was the one putting less effort to make the marriage work.
