Jason Whitlock Football Career, Fearless, Family, Son, Blaze, Wikipedia – Jason Lee Whitlock was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 27, 1967, to Joyce and James Whitlock.

Whitlock, who presently broadcasts Fearless with Jason Whitlock for the conservative television outlet Blaze Media, was an offensive lineman at Ball State University.

His first employment was as a part-time reporter for the Bloomington Herald-Times.

His first full-time employment was with The Charlotte Observer as a reporter. After about a year, he moved over to The Ann Arbor News, where he spent two years covering the University of Michigan.

Whitlock has previously worked for The Kansas City Star, AOL Sports, Foxsports.com, and ESPN.

The Scripps Howard Foundation presented Whitlock with the National Journalism Award for commentary on March 7, 2008. Whitlock was the first sportswriter to receive the honor, which came with a $10,000 reward.

Whitlock’s work has also appeared in Vibe, Playboy, and The Sporting News. He authored a 5,000-word editorial in the June 2008 issue of Playboy challenging America’s incarceration and drug-war practices.
