Jason Licht Parents: Meet Ron Licht

Jason Licht is an American football executive who has served as the general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL) since 2014.

Jason Licht is the son of Ron Licht. In 2019, Ron Licht died unexpectedly. He was 80.

Jason Licht’s father Mr. Licht was the oldest of five children, but he had to work on the family farm alongside his father. As a result, he was unable to participate in sports, according to Jason Licht.

“He always said he wanted to play sports but couldn’t,” Jason Licht said. “He needed to help his father support a family.” His other brothers were able to participate.

“He means the world to me,” Jason Licht said of his dad just before Father’s Day. “He’s been there through thick and thin. He’s my best friend. He’s battled his own adversity. He’s shown me first-hand how to fight through it. He’s a great husband, father everything rolled into one.”

Jason Licht worked for the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Bucs in 2014.

Licht has appeared in five Super Bowls in his 26-year executive career, winning two of them with the Patriots in 2002 and the Buccaneers in 2021, both led by Tom Brady.
