Who Is Jason Akermanis?
Jason Akermanis is a former Australian rules footballer, who played for the Brisbane Bears, Brisbane Lions and Western Bulldogs.
Jason is a Brownlow Medallist and a three-time premiership winner.
Born on February 24, 1977, in Mildura, Victoria, Jason attended Wavell State High School. He had his college degree at St. Joseph’s Nudgee College, where he played football with the Mayne Football Club in the QAFL.

During this time, he was selected by the Brisbane Bears. He later went on to play with the Glenorchy Football Club in the Tasmanian State League.
Jason didn’t stop there, as he also welcomed invitations to play side matches at various country clubs.
As a player, Jason was noted for being an excellent goal scorer, such that he could kick goals from acute angles. He had won the AFL Goal of the Year in 2002.
In 2013, Jason was made captain-coach of the North Albury Football Club in the Ovens & Murray Football League.
Jason was inducted into the Australian Football Hall Of Fame in 2015.
