However, Jane Foster dies in Thor: Love and Thunder. Jane Foster, who had Stage 4 cancer, died after using Thor’s ancient hammer, Mjolnir, to the point where it sapped a lot of her mortal energy and rendered her body vulnerable to cancer.
She was given a warning by Thor that if she used the hammer one more time, her body would be unable to combat the disease and would eventually kill her.

Later, in the post-credits scene of the movie, Foster’s death is made official. She appeared in front of Heimdall, who died at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War.
At the door, Heimdall welcomes Foster and expresses his slight surprise that she has passed away. Then he welcomes her to Valhalla, the gods’ home, saying that she is more than welcome to enter.
