Jamie Dornan Parents: Meet Jim Dornan and Lorna Dornan

Jamie Dornan is a musician, model, and actor from Ireland. Jamie Dornan is the son of Jim Dornan and Lorna Dornan.

Dornan was born in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland, and raised in the Belfast suburbs.  Jamie Dornan’s mother, Lorna, died of pancreatic cancer when he was 16 years old.

Jamie Dornan’s father Jim Dornan was an obstetrician and gynaecologist who had considered becoming an actor.

Jim Dornan was also a professor who lectured frequently both nationally and internationally, holding the Chair in Fetal Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast and the Chair in Health and Life Sciences at Ulster University.

On March 15, 2021, his father, Jim Dornan died from COVID-19 complications. He had previously been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia

Dornan has two older sisters: Liesa, a Disney employee in London, and Jessica, a fashion designer in Falmouth, Cornwall, England.
