Late swimming gold medalist Jamie Cail is survived by her parents, Pat and Gary Cail.

Her parents both live in Maine and were deeply saddened by the news of her death.
Who Was Jamie Cail?
Jamie Cail was an American competitive swimmer who won a gold medal at the 1997 Pan-Pacific swimming Championships, in the 4 × 200 m freestyle event.
She represented USA in many swimming competitions.
Cail hailed from New Hampshire, and began training with the Golden West Swim Club while in high school.
She later attended the University of Maine, where she was a member of the women’s swim team.
Cail also won a silver medal at the 1998-99 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Brazil.

What Happened To Jamie Cail?
Cail was found dead in her home at Virgin Islands, United States, on February 21, 2023.
She was aged 42.
Cail reportedly shared the apartment with her boyfriend who was at a bar when the incident occured.
Her boyfriend, whose identity is still withheld, had arrived at midnight to discover her body on the floor
“With assistance from a friend, the boyfriend was able to get Cail to a nearby vehicle and transported her to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic”, The Virgin Islands Police Department stated.
“This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau,” read a statement by the Police.
Cail had been pronounced dead on arrival at the clinic.
