James Franklin (American football coach) Wife: Meet Fumi Franklin

Fumi Franklin is the wife of James Geoffrey Franklin, an American football coach and former player.

Franklin met his wife Fumi who was a student at Washington State in 1998 while working as the tight ends coach. Franklin was a graduate assistant coach who was also working on a master’s degree in educational leadership.

The couple were reintroduced several years later when Franklin was coaching at Maryland. In 2005, they began a long-distance relationship that led to an engagement in Green Bay, where Franklin worked.
