Jalen Ramsey is an American football cornerback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He played college football at Florida State and was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Ramsey was born on October 24, 1994, in Smyrna, Tennessee to Lamont, an emergency medical technician (EMT) and Jalen’s training coach, and Margie Ramsey.
Coming out of Florida State, Ramsey was projected a first-round pick by NFL draft experts and scouts. He was considered to be a top-ten pick by NFL media analysts Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, and Mike Mayock.
