Jake Abraham: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels actor dies aged 56

Jake Abraham, who played the lead in the film Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, has passed away at the age of 56. Guy Ritchie’s 1998 gangster movie, which was written and directed by Abraham, featured Dean, a character who was born in Liverpool.

His other work includes the 2001 movie Mean Machine and the 1991 Channel 4 series GBH, in which he reteamed with Lock, Stock co-star Vinnie Jones.

In July, the actor informed Liverpool Echo that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and that he was getting palliative treatment. He disclosed that his physicians had informed him that the sickness had migrated to other parts of his body and that he had cancer “for maybe four years.”
