Alexander went to Rocky River High School in Mint Hill, NC. He played high school football for the Ravens while there.
He originally committed to play college football at the University of South Carolina, but later switched to the University of Louisville.
Alexander attended Louisville from 2015 to 2017 and played for head coach Bobby Petrino.
He had 77 tackles and seven interceptions in his career.

The Packers selected him 18th overall and he made his debut against the Chicago Bears, registering 3 solo tackles in the 28-24 win.
Alexander signed a four-year, $84 million contract extension with the Packers through the 2026 season on May 18, 2022.
According to Pro Football Focus, he finished the 2020 season as the NFL’s No. 1 cornerback. Alexander became the only cornerback since 2006 to allow negative yards in a playoff game (three yards) in the Division Playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams.
