The Mexican professional boxer Jaime Munguía who competes in the middleweight, light middleweight, and welterweight divisions was born on October 6, 1996, in Tijuana, Mexico.
Munguía turned professional in 2013 and compiled a record of 28-0 before challenging and beating American Sadam Ali on May 12, 2018, for the WBO junior middleweight title.
On July 21, 2018, he faced British professional boxer Liam Smith which Munguía won through unanimous decision after knocking Smith down in the sixth round.

After beating Dennis Hogan by a controversial majority decision on April 13, 2019, Munguía went ahead to defeat Patrick Allotey by fourth-round technical knockout on September 14, 2019, in Carson, California.
Munguía ranked as the world’s fourth-best active middleweight by BoxRec, The Ring magazine, and ESPN, and fifth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board as of June 2022,
