Popular Cinematographer/Director of Photographer, Jacques Haitkin has been reported dead. He was known for his work on several popular movies in his career; most of which raked in a good amount of money at the box office.

Some of the movies include; Cherry 2000, Last Man Standing (1995), The Expendables (2010), X-Men: First Class, Kong: Skull Island, Black Panther, Venom, and two Captain America movies.

Haitkin died on March 21, 2023, after over 5 years of being diagnosed with ALS – also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He died of ALS and pneumonia. He was 72 years old at the time of death.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media after the news of his death.
“RIP Jacques Haitkin. He gave A Nightmare on Elm Street a very effective visual look. The lighting and shadows were simply perfect. Especially evoking the dreamlike nature of the film. He will be missed,” M. Brant.
“One of the greats who gave so many genre films their distinctive, more-expensive-than-the-budget-actually-was look RIP,” Bill Bria tweeted.
