Australian operatic mezzo-soprano Jacqueline Dark (1967–1968–3 October 2023) was born in Sydney. She was born in Ballarat and studied there from 1986 to 1988, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Graduate Diploma in Education.

Dark completed her training at the Victorian College of the Arts, where in 1995 she earned a first-class honors diploma in opera. Dark passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 55 after being identified as having a rare type of cancer the year before.

She joined the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in 2013 to record I Dreamed a Dream: Hit Songs from Broadway for ABC Classics with Trisha Crowe, Michael Falzon, Amanda Harrison, and others.
