Jacob Weitering parents: Who are Jacob Weitering parents?

Jacob Weitering was born to Tanya and Darren Weitering.

His parents have been influential in his career growth. They announced they’re “definitely all Bluebaggers now” after their son joined Carlton.

As the reality of Jacob’s achievement slowly started sinking in, his mother Tanya described the moment she realised her son was heading to Carlton.

“Relief was the overwhelming feeling, it’s been a big build-up so to finally get here (draft day) has been amazing,” Tanya said.

“We were just thrilled when his name was called out.”  declared Jacob’s parents.

Sport has always been a big part of Jacob’s life. Ever since he was a young boy he’s continually taken a keen interest in all sports, but fell in love with footy.

It wasn’t until Jacob was in primary school, that Tanya realised how driven her son was to become a professional AFL player.

Despite being relatively young, Weitering has already played over 100 games for Carlton and has become a leader in the team.

Jacob’s dedication and hard work have earned him the respect of his teammates and coaches alike.
