Jacob Trouba is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays as a defenseman for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Jacob Trouba and his wife Kelly do not have children at the time of this writing.

Jacob Trouba’s professional ice hockey career began when he was drafted ninth overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

He played for the Jets from 2013 to 2019. During his time with the Jets, Trouba was a key player for the team, appearing in 408 games and scoring 42 goals with 137 assists.

In June 2019, Trouba was traded to the New York Rangers. In his first season with the Rangers, Trouba appeared in all 70 games and scored seven goals with 20 assists.

Throughout his career, Trouba has also represented the United States in international ice hockey tournaments. He has played for the US in the World Junior Championships, the World Championships, and the Olympic Games.

Jacob Trouba was the American team’s youngest player at the 2012 World Junior Championship. Trouba was named the tournament’s top defenseman and was named to the All-Star Team at the World Junior Championship in 2013.
