Jacklyn Zeman, who played Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer on “General Hospital” for more than 800 episodes, has died. She was 70 years old.

On Wednesday evening, “General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini revealed Zeman’s death on Twitter. Additional information concerning the circumstances surrounding her death was not provided.
She began “General Hospital” in 1977 and appeared in over 800 episodes over the course of nearly 50 years. Bobbie Spencer, the sister of Pat Spencer (Dee Wallace) and Luke Spencer Sr., (Anthony Geary) was played by her .
For her portrayal, Zeman got three Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and one Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Zeman starred in the 1982 comic film National Lampoon’s Class Reunion and made a cameo in the satirical comedy picture Young Doctors in Love, in addition to soap operas. She appeared in Jury Duty: The Comedy (1990), co-starring Heather Locklear, and Montana Crossroads (1993), co-starring Kellie Martin.
She appeared in several off-Broadway shows, including Come Blow Your Horn, Barefoot in the Park, and The Boyfriend.
Zeman appeared on General Hospital on a regular basis from 2013 till her death on May 10, 2023.
