Popular Indigenous Australian actor and singer, Jack Charles was reported dead on Monday, September 13, 2022. It was revealed that he passed on after suffering from a stroke. His funeral date is yet to be decided by his family and close ones.

His death was announced by his publicist in a statement.

“Before he passed away, his family were able to send him off on Country during a smoking ceremony at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We are so proud of everything he has achieved in his remarkable life – Elder, actor, musician, potter, activist, mentor, a household demonstrated by his numerous awards including this year’s NAIDOC Male Elder of the Year. He will live in our hearts and memories and through his numerous screen and stage roles,” the statement read.
Jack Charles’ sister, Christine Charles also shared how she felt after the passing of her beloved brother.
“He was my big brother, he looked after me, he was always calling in, making sure I was alright,” she said.
