Basketball player Ish Wainright, also known as Ishmail Carzell Wainright, is American-Ugandan and is currently under contract with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns on a two-way basis.

Wainright joined the German basketball team Nürnberg Falcons BC on September 3, 2018, after going undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. He spent a season with one German team before signing with Rasta Vechta on July 2, 2019, where he scored 10.5 points per contest.

After competing for basketball clubs in Germany and France, Ish’s NBA dream came true on August 8, 2021, when he signed a two-year non-guaranteed contract with the Raptors.
