Basketball player Ish Wainright, also known by his stage name Ishmail Carzell Wainright, is an American-Ugandan who is currently under contract to play both home and away games with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns on a two-way basis.

The German basketball team Nürnberg Falcons BC signed Wainright on September 3, 2018, after he went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. He spent the following season with Rasta Vechta of Germany, where he scored an average of 10.5 points per contest. He signed with them on July 2, 2019.

And in 2020, he agreed to a contract with French company SIG Strasbourg. On August 8, 2021, Ish signed a two-year non-guaranteed contract with the Raptors after competing for basketball teams in Germany and France. This fulfilled his NBA goal. Wainright penned a second two-way deal with the Suns on August 4, 2022, for the period 2022–2023.

Ish’s baby mother Ariana Andrea, however, took to social media in April 2022 to inform everyone that he is not a good father as he appears to be.
