Is YFN Lucci still in custody?

YFN Lucci, a rapper, is still behind bars but maintains his innocence. However, his trial date has been set for May 12, 2022

In January 2021, Rayshawn Bennett, also known as YFN Lucci, was arrested. Bennett surrendered to police after a warrant for his arrest was issued in December 2020, charging him with “aggravated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity,” among other charges.

Bennett was one of 12 people charged in a 105-count RICO indictment in May 2021, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. Racketeering, aggravated assault, murder, gun, armed robbery, property damage, theft, and gang-related charges were included in the indictment, which followed a six-month investigation.

The indictment also claims that all 12 people charged, including Bennett, are Bloods gang members. They are accused of committing crimes to “protect and enhance the gang’s reputation as well as gain and maintain control of territory,” according to the complaint.

Drew Findling, Bennet’s lawyer, has maintained the rapper’s innocence, saying, Bennett is not guilty of anything.”
