Yevgeny Prigozhin is a Russian businessman and entrepreneur. The businessman was branded a war criminal in March 2023, by the US Justice Department.

At a Senate hearing, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that the Justice Department is assisting Ukraine in investigating alleged war crimes committed since Russia’s invasion, including by the semi-private Wagner military group.

“Mr Prigozhin, who runs this thing, is a war criminal in my opinion,” Garland told the hearing. “Perhaps it’s inappropriate for me to say that as a judge before I’ve heard all of the evidence.” But I believe we have more than enough evidence to make that claim at this point.

Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Andriy Kostin, has stated that Prigozhin is being investigated for war crimes, and Garland has stated that the US is assisting Ukraine in its investigations.

How much is the bounty on Yevgeny Prigozhin?

The FBI is currently offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to the arrest of Yevgeniy Viktorovich Prigozhin.

On February 16, 2018, a federal arrest warrant was issued in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for Yevgeniy Viktorovich Prigozhin after he was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.
