Radio broadcaster Vernon Kay is set to replace veteran presenter Ken Bruce on his weekday mid-morning show on Radio 2.

Bruce who has spent decades in broadcasting had announced in January that he would be stepping down after 31 years.
Who Is Vernon Kay?
Vernon Kay is a former model turned TV and radio presenter, known for presenting Channel 4’s T4 and many other TV shows for ITV.
Born on April 28, 1974, in Manchester, England, Kay graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, where he studied environmental science. His entertainment career has since cut across modelling, TV and Radio.

On ITV, Kay played host on All Star Family Fortunes, Just the Two of Us,Beat the Star, The Whole 19 Yards, Splash! and 1000 Heartbeats.
On BBC Radio 1, Kay presented his own show between 2004 and 2012, and also on Radio X between 2015 and 2017.
In 2020, Kay appeared on the 20th season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. He also made brief appearances in movies such as Shaun of the Dead (2004), Keith Lemon: The Film (2012), and Hercules (2014).
Kay holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Bolton for his contribution to TV and entertainment.
