Anthony La Russa Jr. is the manager of the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball. From 1963 to the present, he has played in the Major Leagues in a variety of roles.

La Russa led his clubs to three World Series triumphs, six league championships, and 13 division crowns in his 33 years as a manager.

His 2,848 victories are second only to Connie Mack’s number for a major league manager.
He graduated from Florida State University with a Juris Doctor degree after his playing career.

The 16-member Veterans Committee unanimously voted him to the Hall of Fame on December 9, 2013. The induction ceremony took place on July 27, 2014, in Cooperstown, New York. He was inducted into the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum on August 16, 2014.

Anthony Jr. was born on October 4, 1944, in Tampa, Florida, to Anthony and Olivia Cuervo La Russa. His paternal grandparents were from Italy Sicily, and his mother’s family was from Spain.
