Is There Jellyfish In Bondi Beach?

Recent reports have confirmed the presence of a pile of stinging jellyfish on the shores of Bondi Beach.

The stinging jellyfishes had reportedly been swept to shore by a great storm.

Warnings have been issued out to beach lovers as a result, emphasizing that effects of being stung by the fishes could be vomiting, headaches, stomach aches and even severe pain in the joints.

Bondi Beach is a well known iconic beach located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

With a population of 11,656 residents, Bondi Beach remains a tourist attraction that draws visitors from across the world, and ranks top on the list of Australia’s most visited tourist sites.

Several sporting events across Australia have been held at Bondi Beach such as the National Rugby League competition, by the Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC); and the Vans Bowl-A-Rama skateboarding competition.

In addition to these events, various festivals such as the annual Miss Bondi beauty pageant continue to be held regularly at the beach.

The beach has become a centre of attraction for artists, photographers and renowned poets, such as Les Murray, Joanne Burns and Brook Emery.

In November 2022, Bondi beach recorded about 2,500 visitors posing naked for a photo shoot, to boost skin cancer awareness.

American photographic artist Spencer Tunick, had been the brain behind the shoot.
