It was developed by Ronaldo D. Moore, the show premiered on August 9, 2014, on Starz. It stars Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall, a married former Second World War military nurse in Scotland who, in 1975 finds herself transported back in time to 1743.

Filming has officially started for Outlander Season 7 starring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. According to reports, season 7 will consist of 16 episodes.
Fans of the time-travelling fantasy show, which is currently airing Season 6, have been treated to photos of the cast on set for the next season.
