
The Kiffness, whose real name is David Scott, is a South African musician and lead vocalist of the band, The Kiffness.

He is known for his Afrikaans song “Pragtig Meisie”, which he released in 2018.
Born on February 11, 1988, the Kiffness started as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir.
He attended the Michaelhouse school and proceeded to the University of the Witwatersrand to study medicine.
He later dropped out of the sciences and switched to the department of music and philosophy at Rhodes University.

As a student, Scott, worked as a DJ and joined a jazz band.
His first single “Where are You Going?” was released in 2013 and his album Kiff bagged a nomination at the 2915 and 2017 South African Music Awards.
Known for performing in his floral custom suit, Scott creates songs that are aimed at tackling South African political issues. One of such is his popular song, “White Privilege”
The year 2020, saw the Kiffness collaborate with Turkish musician Bilal Göregen in creating a remix of “Ievan polkka”.
In 2021, he came up with a song to help people with pronouncing the new names of Port Elizabeth, King William’s Town and Maclear which had earlier been changed by the South African government.
