Is The Hustle Worth Watching?

Hustle is a film that is suitable for all ages, highly inspirational and at the same time entertaining.

What Is Hustle Based On?

The 2022 American drama film, Hustle, follows the story of Stanley Sugerman, an NBA scout, who finds a young basketball player in Spain with great potentials but is still inexperienced and works to get him ready for the NBA draft.

Due to Stanley’s frequent absence, his wife Teresa and daughter Alex are not having it easy at home.

Stanley is given the opportunity to serve as assistant coach and stay at home with his family.

However, he finds himself traveling once more to look for a new star overseas. Along the line, he runs into Leon Rich, a former college teammate, who pushes him to quit his current team and work as a player agent.

Luck shines on Stanley again when he meets Bo Cruz, a player with extraordinary potential who had played since he was 15 but had quit the sport due to a variety of reasons.

Bo, who has formerly been convicted of assault, now works in construction and hustles basketball for extra cash.

After much struggle, Stanley was able to sign Cruz to a contract with the 76ers. He leaves the 76ers after that in order to get Cruz ready for the NBA Draft, but Cruz’s assault allegations poses a problem.

Cruz is eventually accepted into the combine, and plays for the Boston Celtics.

In addition to LeBron James serving as producer, the movie stars Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, Robert Duvall, Heidi Gardner, and Anthony Edwards.

On June 8, 2022, Netflix released Hustle, and received positive critical reviews.
