Morant was born on August 10, 1999 and was drafted 2nd overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2019 NBA Draft.

He sighed a four-year contract $39.6 million with the Memphis the same year.

While in college, he played basketball at Murray State University, for the Murray State Racers.

Morant went to Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina.
