Phil Bronstein married actress, Sharon Stone on February 14, 1998. They were unable to conceive children as Stone suffered from an autoimmune disease, resulting in three miscarriages.

They adopted a baby son, Roan Joseph Bronstein in 2000. The couple separated in 2003. They completed their divorce on January 29, 2004. At first, Stone and Bronstein shared joint custody of their adopted son, Roan.

In 2008, a judge gave Bronstein full custody of their son.

Stone adopted her second son, Laird Vonne in 2005, and her third son, Quinn Kelly Stone, in 2006.

As of 2018, Stone resides with her three sons in West Hollywood, California, in a home once owned by the actor Montgomery Clift.
